Local 1832 Solidarity
Celebration Thursday, June 18
.
To all
Members of UAW Local 1832
I am
pleased announce, due to the generosity of our
Union brothers and sisters, we have enough money
in our strike fund to give all of our locked out
member another $50 Kroger gift card.
As we
all know, the last day we worked at Peterbilt was
June 20, 2008, which means we have been locked
out for almost a year. I would like thank all of
the members for standing tall and together
through this ordeal. Our situation is talked
about throughout the UAW and how strong this
membership is. You should be proud of this.
The
E-broad has decided to have a Solidarity
Celebration on June 18, 2009 at Madison Park. We
will provide the members and their immediate
family members with a cookout. The time will be
from 11:00 AM until 3:00 PM. This is when you may
pick up your card and also for those who receive
a check from International.
Hope to see you
there.
In Solidarity,

To all members
who were laid off by Peterbilt effective January
26, 2007
In accordance with the
UAW International Constitution, you will
automatically retain good standing membership
status (voting rights, etc.) until July 31,2007,
unless other employment would disqualify you.
Between the 21st and 31st of July 2007 and
monthly thereafter, the Local Union must be
notified in person or by certified mail of the
desire to continue your good standing status.
When we say monthly thereafter, we are saying
within the last ten days of each month. For
example; this is to be done again for the month
of August between the 21st and 31st, but in the
month of September there are only 30 days,
therefore you must do this again between
September 20th and 30th and every month
thereafter. There will not be any exception to
this rule.
